Harringtons Longest Serving Independent Councillor Backs Conservatives

Paul Larkin, the Conservative candidate for the Harrington ward by-election to Workington Town Council, last night received endorsement from Harrington's longest serving Independent councillor.

Councillor Hilary Harrington, who has represented the Harrington ward for 17 years at Town and Borough Council level, took to Facebook to exhort locals to vote for Paul on Thursday 4th August.

As you may know I have been an Independent Councillor representing Harrington for 17 years I have thought long and hard regarding the  forthcoming  by-election in Harrington and know both candidates. I will be voting for Paul Larkin who is a decent person with great interest for the best for Harrington Community.

Paul Larkin is the local candidate with Harrington's best interests at heart. He continues to fight for Harrington and High Harrington, particularly against cuts to community provision by the Labour-led Workington Town Council.

HARRINGTON MARINA

Paul wants to see this vital asset shine once more and the surrounding area brought back into use. The area has huge potential and it is important Harrington’s attractions gets the investment they need.

SAFER SCHOOL CROSSINGS

Our children making their way to school safely is paramount. Mark Jenkinson MP has worked with Cumbria County Council to ensure that a crossing patrol for children travelling to Beckstone School will now be provided.
